The Maryland Association of Pupil Personnel (MAPP) was created as your professional association in 1947. MAPP coordinates Spring and Fall conferences in and around the Maryland geographical area. Conferences serve a great purpose by providing Pupil Personnel Workers with the latest in staff development, Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) updates, skills and strategies to meet the demands we all face within the homes, schools and communities in which we provide services. Conferences are also a great time to recharge and reconnect with friends from across Maryland. We will continue to provide quality conferences for Pupil Personnel Workers.

Our Fall 2011 Conference was a huge success! Conference participants were able to network with colleagues from across the state and were treated to an array on information on topics PPWs deal with on a regular basis. Some of our presenters were asked to share their presentations so that we can make them available for our members. As information is made available to us, we will share it with you. Click on the topics below for more information.
FREE TRAINING! Pupil Personnel Workers are always looking for opportunities for professional development which enables us to remain current on trends affecting the youth and families we serve. The Maryland Student Assistance Professionals Program Association (MSAPPA) is offering a free conference on February 8, 2012, sponsored by the Masonic Charities of Maryland, addressing an array of topics pertinent to those of us in student services. See "Student Assistance and Student Services: A Collaborative Success" for conference information. The conference registration form can be found here.

MAPP must inform all members of the check return policy for our bank, BB&T. The check policy for BB&T states, "For your convenience if your check is dishonored or returned for any reason, we will electronically debit your account for the amount of the check plus a processing fee of $35.00". Please understand that this is the policy of our bank, not MAPP.
